The Story
A little tune developed over months of snuggling and singing my daughter to sleep. I played with the lyrics, sometimes adding new ones, sometimes letting them go. Eventually, this sweet and silly song took shape. Singing Sloane to sleep, I would imagine the different scenarios in the song in DC’s style (she is one of my favorite artists), and one night it occurred to me: This would make a fantastic book!
I was delighted when DC agreed to illustrate my sweet, little book. The way she has interpreted my words is so magical and beyond anything I could have hoped for, and I can’t wait to share our book with the world!
Who This is For
Dream Big, Little Peanut is a sweet and silly rhyming bedtime story perfect for dreams of all ages, but especially those age 2-5.
It’s for the parent that wants to celebrate the child and encourage them to follow their dreams, while also expressing unconditional love and support.
As a new mom, I spend a lot of time self-reflecting. One of the main focuses in my life is making sure my 22-month-old daughter, Sloane (AKA Peanut), consistently feels loved unconditionally, while also feeling free to be her full self. My biggest dream for this book is that this same message is shared with kids (and adults) of all ages. (P.S. you are never too old to follow your dreams!). The world needs the you-est you!
